Peter Hao joined the Southern California Estate Garden division of ValleyCrest Companies in 2005 as a Design Manager. He brings over 12 years of professional experience working in firms of various sizes and has been responsible for projects involving urban design/planning, large scale resorts, commercial retail centers, master planned communities, community agencies and environmental restorations. His role in each project spans design, development, construction observation and coordination.

His passion for design is also expressed through his quick sketches and renderings which greatly help clients to visualize the design intent. He is actively involved in developing overall presentation graphics and CAD drawing standards for the studio.

He was the recipient of the California Preservation Foundation Design Award and Los Angeles Conservancy Royce Neuschatz Award. Through his extensive travels in Europe, Mexico, and the United States combined with his professional experience, he brings to the team a keen interest in art, design, history and culture.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. In 1995, Peter also studied landscape architecture in Italy. He has obtained certifications in Playground Safety and Advanced AutoCAD. Peter is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Peter is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).
