Senior Landscape Designer Nicholas Tessa has 10 years experience in the field of landscape architecture. A Los Angeles native, he has been influenced by the environmental and cultural diversity of Southern California and integrates both the subtle and the dramatic elements of the local environment into his design.

As a member of the Los Angeles Conservancy and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Nick embraces the urban environment and its history, while recognizing that living in the intensity of Los Angeles requires the creation of meaningful personal space as a balance to impersonal daily life.

His experience at the award-winning firms of The L.A. Group, Inc., Pamela Burton & Company, and the design/build firm Meeks & Associates, have shaped his design and project management skills while working on municipal, commercial, and high-end residential projects. Nick's love for the California garden and landscape were further developed while working as plant collections manager at the internationally famous Descanso Gardens in La Canada-Flintridge, CA.

Nick holds a B.A. from Cal State Northridge and completed a Landscape Architecture Certificate Program at UCLA Extension. Nick also studied language and history at the University of Vienna, Austria.
